Mumbai: Preparations have started to increase the stature of all the leaders who have written a new chapter of Maharashtra politics. Let us tell you that after the resignation of Uddhav Thackeray from the post of Chief Minister, a new government was formed under the leadership of Eknath Shinde with the support of the rebel Shiv Sena and BJP and soon the cabinet is going to be expanded. In such a situation, the formula for cabinet expansion has come to the fore, in which most of the ministers can be from the BJP camp.
According to information received from sources, there may be 45 ministers in the Eknath Shinde cabinet, in which the BJP is likely to get more portfolios. It is being told that 25 ministers of BJP and 13 ministers of Shinde Camp will be included in the new cabinet. Apart from this, the stature of some independents will also be increased. Along with this, sources said that apart from Eknath Shinde and Devendra Fadnavis, most of the new faces will be included in the cabinet.
According to reports, sources say that the BJP wants to test new faces before the next Maharashtra Assembly elections. In such a situation, new faces of the BJP are likely to appear in the cabinet. Sources said that the formula for cabinet expansion between Eknath Shinde and BJP is being finalized. In such a situation, Shiv Sena can be given one department for every three MLAs. Whereas BJP is likely to get one department for every four MLAs.
The final decision regarding cabinet expansion will be taken after the Supreme Court’s decision on July 11. Where the decision will come in the case of possible disqualification of 16 MLAs including Eknath Shinde.
